Marc Castan born in Narbonne decided to take over his grandfather’s vineyard in 2009 and his Domaine Mamaruta covers 14 hectares. It is located on the Audois coast between La Palme, Roquefort-des-Corbières and Leucate. A rich terroir that varies between rolled pebbles on the edge of a pond and limestone cliffs on the Mediterranean coast. Marc always work the soil gently in order to bring it back to life and make room for biodiversity. To do this, he is gradually replacing the tractor with the horse and weeding by hand when the season no longer gives the opportunity to let the cows graze. The grape variety is made up of black and white Carignan, Mourvèdre, Syrah, black and gray Grenache, Macabeu and Muscat petits grains.
